In November and December visitors to Worcester had the great opportunity to pick up ticket for the Golden Ticket prize draw as a reward for their visit to Worcester city centre to shop, eat and play.
The first prize, a brand new iPad Air with accessories from Broad Street based business AT Computers, has been won by Michelle Jenkins, who got her ticket from Mexican restaurant Amigo’s in Friar Street.
Michelle Jenkins, winner of the first prize said: “I am absolutely thrilled to win the iPad Air. I live locally and go to Amigo’s regularly. Entering the Worcester BID Golden Ticket prize draw certainly has been worth it.”
Julie Stafford, owner of Amigo’s Mexican Restaurant in Friar Street, said: “We are so pleased that the winner of the Golden Ticket got their ticket from us. My staff and I have really pushed this Worcester BID competition. It’s nice to give something back to reward our customers eating at our independent restaurant.”
More than a thousand entries were received by the Christmas campaign organisers from Worcester Business Improvement District (BID), a private sector partnership funded by city centre businesses, and all prizes for this prize draw have been sourced locally.
Ryan Hanke, operations manager at AT Computers in Broad Street, said: “As a Worcester BID business we are happy to get involved in the Golden Ticket prize draw by supplying the iPad Air”.
Bob Nock from Hallow, the winner of the second prize, was delighted about the news that he won a three course meal for two at Saffrons Bistro in New Street. He obtained his ticket at Rock Lobster Jewellery in Reindeer Court in the run up to Christmas.
The ticket of the third prize has been handed out at House of Fraser in CrownGate. Nicolette Neville-Lee of Worcester is the lucky winner of a bottle of Prosecco at local brasserie Bindles at Sidbury.
