BID’s Submission for High Street of the Year gets Shortlisted!
We are delighted to announce that the Worcester BID’s submission for our High Street to be named as High Street of the year has been shortlisted in a national competition. Organised by the Future High Streets Forum, Worcester is up against Wantage and Falkirk in its category and we met the judges on Monday. The submission highlighted the fantastic events held this year including Motor Festival, Chocolate Day, Foodie Fest, the MOTHS parade, Artillery Parade, Christmas Fayre as well as our work during and after the floods for the open4business campaign. We will know if we have won in November but we should be very proud to have been shortlisted. The full story is here

BID take a Bite out of your Advertising Costs
Destination Worcestershire, the tourism arm of the Chamber of Commerce have just produced their 2014/15 Eating Out Guide with our support and well as listing all food and drink outlets who are part of Worcester BID have subsidised 15 businesses with a ½ page advert. The listings were free to food related BID businesses (normally £48 incl. VAT) and the adverts saved participating businesses £210 (incl. VAT). To see an online version of the Guide click here. The 20,000 hard copies are being distributed by Destination Worcestershire but let us know if you would like copies.

BID businesses to have benefitted from the discount on the adverts are Debenhams, Saffrons Bistro, Boston Tea Party, Chocolate Deli, the Cathedral’s Cloisters Café, Elgar’s Coffee Shop, Ginger Pig, Keystones Cocktail Club, King Charles II, Mode, The Pheasant, Swan with Two Nicks, Subway and the Olive Branch.
