Worcester’s reputation as a vibrant cultural and culinary hub continues to grow, as the city center welcomed a high-profile visitor yesterday.

Television presenter Richard Hammond, best known for co-hosting global smash-hits Top Gear and The Grand Tour, spent the day exploring Worcester, much to the delight of local business owners and shoppers. The Solihull-born star took full advantage of the city’s thriving food and drink scene, making multiple stops at prominent city-centre venues.

Among his stops was independent Greek bakery and café The Sweet Greeks, where staff were thrilled to meet the presenter. Hammond also visited Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Cathedral Square for a bite to eat, before being spotted by the riverfront at the historic Severn View Hotel to enjoy the England Game…. (It’s coming home)!

The high-profile visit highlights Worcester’s increasing draw for tourism and entertainment. With its blend of historic charm, picturesque riverside settings, and a booming independent sector, the city continues to anchor itself as a must-visit destination in the West Midlands.
