Level 1 and Level 2 hospitality students from Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) have gained invaluable, firsthand industry insight following an inspirational culinary trip to the renowned gastronomy hub of Bray.
The excursion, designed to give the next generation of top culinary talent a glimpse into the highest tiers of professional hospitality, included a specialised lunch at the Michelin-starred The Hinds Head. Following their meal, the students were treated to a rare, educational tour around the iconic The Fat Duck, a world-famous three-Michelin-starred establishment.
The visit highlights HoW College’s continuous drive to find creative, practical ways to engage its student body. By consistently moving beyond traditional classroom environments, the college pairs elite professional exposure with academic coursework to cultivate ambition, passion, and high-level technical skills in its learners.
Reflecting on the experience, college organisers stated:
“Thank you to all the staff at the Hinds Head and the Fat Duck for a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our learners! Taking students on these sorts of days is one of the best parts of my job, showing them where they can get to with hard work and determination.”
Immersive field trips of this calibre remain a core pillar of HoW College’s hospitality training strategy, equipping students with the confidence and baseline industry network required to step directly into competitive professional roles upon graduation.
