The Museum of Royal Worcester is celebrating after being named a finalist in the prestigious International Tourism Award category at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards 2026/27!

As an independent charity, this recognition is a fantastic achievement for the museum’s team, dedicated volunteers, and supporters who work tirelessly to keep Worcester’s heritage alive.

While many know the famous Royal Worcester porcelain name, fewer realise that right here in the heart of our city, the museum welcomes researchers, collectors, families, and global tourists to explore over 250 years of extraordinary craftsmanship, design, and innovation, all on the very site where it was created.

From intricately hand-painted porcelain to historic royal services, the museum showcases the passion and artistry that put Worcester on the international map.

Reflecting on the nomination, the Museum of Royal Worcester team shared:

“As an independent charity, this recognition means so much to our small team, dedicated volunteers and everyone who supports our mission. Every visitor, volunteer, partner and supporter has played a part in this achievement. Thank you for helping us tell Worcester’s story to the world.”

We want to send a huge congratulations to the Museum of Royal Worcester and all the other inspiring local finalists! We look forward to celebrating the city’s success at the awards ceremony and wish everyone the best of luck.
