Two of Worcester’s most beloved seasonal traditions, the Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival and the Worcester Victorian Christmas Fayre, have officially been named finalists for the Visit Worcester Tourism Awards in the prestigious Festival Event of the Year category.

The nominations highlight the collaborative effort behind the city’s winter appeal, drawing thousands of local families and regional tourists to the city centre each year.

The Cathedral’s annual display transforms medieval cloisters into a glowing showcase of community creativity, while the Victorian Christmas Fayre continues to drive essential footfall for independent businesses.

Event organisers noted that the shortlist reflects the city’s growing reputation as a top-tier destination for heritage and festive events.
