Heritage Open Days have officially kicked off! Running from the 11th through to the 20th September, Heritage Open Days offer free entry, tours and openings at lots of historic locations across Worcester.
The annual, countrywide festival encourages residents and visitors to explore architectural gems, hidden gardens, and historic institutions that are often closed to the public or normally charge entry fee or are normally closed to the public.
Beyond celebrating local history, the event plays a crucial role in boosting footfall for surrounding shops, independent cafes, and city centre businesses during the shoulder tourism season.
By showcasing the city’s unique story, Heritage Open Days fosters local pride while giving high street footfall a tangible lift across the ten day event.
