Worcestershire Open Studios Art Week has reached new heights, drawing a record 21,500 visitors and giving the local creative economy a boost.
The annual celebration brought a fresh, interactive dimension to the region’s cultural calendar, opening up working studios, creative spaces, and independent galleries across Worcester and the surrounding area. Key city centre venues involved included The Cabin Studio and Gallery, Worcester Arts Collective, Tudor House Museum, and Henry Sandon Hall. The event offered visitors a rare behind-the-scenes look at local painters, sculptors, printmakers, and ceramicists at work, fostering a deeper personal connection between the public and the faces driving our creative scene.
Celebrating the record milestone, organisers noted the tremendous impact of community support and local curiosity, which helped propel this year’s event to its highest turnout to date.
As the creative sector continues to grow, the record turnout highlights the city’s passion for supporting homegrown talent and independent artistry.
