A popular city-centre social spot is celebrating a major milestone this month as JNCTN officially marks three years open in Worcester.

Perfectly positioned right next to Foregate Street Station, the independent, all-day café first opened its doors on July 3, 2021. Serving as a bustling meeting point for commuters, remote workers, and residents seeking great food and a relaxed atmosphere, it’s fast become a staple in the City.

A Hub Designed to Adapt

From the outset, JNCTN was envisioned as a versatile space that seamlessly shifts to match whatever its guests need. Step inside on a weekday morning, and you’ll find it fueling the morning rush with quick takeaways and quiet workspace areas equipped with free Wi-Fi. By afternoon, it transforms into a laid-back brunch destination.

The business has continually evolved its offering, matching seasonal shifts with fresh additions to its menu, from their popular Shakshuka baked eggs and house pastrami to vibrant new summer plates and even the £10 before 10 AM menu. Behind the scenes, the team’s focus has remained firmly on creating an inclusive environment that brings people together.

The JNCTN team said: “Three years in, JNCTN has grown from the idea of bringing great café food to the city into what it is now, with the added evening events we now regularly throw! (Our SMKD nights plus regular wine tasting nights hosted by our great friend Jake at Birmingham Wine School). Our favourite moments have just been seeing week-by-week the Worcester community get behind us, and that has meant everything. We feel incredibly grateful to be part of such a thriving independent scene here. The support from fellow local businesses and customers alike has been the backbone of everything we’ve built. Reaching this milestone wouldn’t have been possible without a city that champions independents the way Worcester does. Here’s to many more years serving this community!”

Rooted in Local Partnership

A core element of JNCTN’s identity over the past three years has been its dedication to supporting the local independent economy. This is most notably seen in their coffee offering. Every cup poured at the café is sourced from Method Coffee Roasters, a renowned speciality roastery operating right beneath Worcester’s nearby railway arches.

Discover the Hidden Garden

While many recognise the café for its beautiful interiors, the venue also boasts a peaceful secret garden tucked away at the back, offering a surprisingly quiet outdoor sanctuary to enjoy a mid-afternoon pick-me-up away from the city bustle, especially whilst we have enjoyed this spate of warm weather.
