The Sweet Greeks Cafe on Mealcheapen Street is inviting local food enthusiasts to experience an authentic taste of the Mediterranean, announcing the return of its popular Greek Tasting Nights.
Next up is a spoooooky, Saturday, 31st October!
Starting from 6:00 pm and running late into the evening, the event offers guests a full culinary journey featuring a specially curated tasting menu, traditional music, and live Greek dancing.
Speaking to the team about the evening events, they added: “Our Greek Nights are really special to us because they’re about much more than just the food. We want to bring a little piece of Greece to Worcester — authentic homemade dishes, traditional flavours, Greek music and that warm, lively atmosphere you’d experience back home.
Our next Greeknight dates are on the 31st of October for both shops Worcester & Droitwich”
The dining experience begins with a selection of classic starters, including homemade tzatziki dip infused with dill oil and served alongside fresh pitta bread. This is accompanied by deep fried halloumi with sweet chilli sauce, homemade beef meatballs cooked in a mildly spiced herbal tomato sauce, and a seasonal salad of red and white cabbage, oranges, clementines, and pomegranate dressed in balsamic vinegar and olive oil.
For the main course, diners can choose from three iconic Mediterranean dishes: Kleftiko (slow-cooked lamb shank served with mashed potatoes and a rosemary and thyme jus), Pork Lemonato (chunks of pork fillet in a creamy white wine and fresh lemon sauce served with rice), or a traditional Moussaka made using a beloved family recipe featuring grilled aubergine, courgette, potatoes, slowly braised beef ragu, and rich béchamel sauce. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available across the event upon request.
To finish, guests will be served a sweet selection featuring a Kataifi roll (shredded pastry filled with nuts and honey syrup), traditional Greek orange cake, and vanilla ice cream.
The tasting night is priced at £45 per person, with food included and a full range of cocktails and regional wines available to purchase separately throughout the evening.
Tables must be booked directly in advance via the venue website at www.thesweetgreeks.co.uk by selecting the Greek Nights option.
