Worcester city centre is set to welcome a major high street boost as popular Neapolitan dining brand Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana has announced plans to open its first pizzeria in the city at 67 Broad Street this November.

The arrival of the acclaimed chain represents another significant vote of confidence in Worcester’s local hospitality market, highlighting the growing appetite among national food brands to invest in the city core.

First established in Ancoats, Manchester, in 2015, Rudy’s has built a nationwide reputation for its authentic approach to Neapolitan pizza. The brand makes its dough fresh on site every day using traditional 00 Caputo flour, allowing it to ferment for up to 24 hours to create a lightweight, easily digestible crust cooked rapidly in specialist pizza ovens.

The new Worcester venue will bring a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere to Broad Street, serving classic items made with traditional Italian imports, including San Marzano tomatoes grown near Mount Vesuvius and creamy fior di latte cheese. The menu will also feature vegetarian and vegan choices, along with signature drinks such as Morello Cherry Spritzers, Italian wines, and regional beers.

To celebrate the investment and introduce itself to the local community ahead of the grand opening, Rudy’s is offering 3,000 complimentary pizzas to residents who sign up via their website before launch.

The addition of Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana further strengthens Worcester’s vibrant independent and branded food scene, bringing renewed energy and footfall to Broad Street ahead of the festive trading period.
